Many of you ask what fabrics I used in my patterns. Quilt fabric collections come & go so fast but I will try to remember back & list as many as I remember.
.....................
Anastasia's Dream
I used a combination of 30's reproductions & Amy Butler's retro looking Gypsy Caravan fabric line in this quilt. It has appliqued butterflies in the lower right corner as well as the upper left. Quilted by Quilting Queens.
Ashley Rose
This is an easy lap quilt or table topper. I used a variety of fun prints by, Amy Butler & Kaffee Fassett. It was quilted by C. J.
Beth's Summer Basket
My easy triangle method is used in this quilt which measures 71" x 71". I chose three colorways of gold, blue & rose in lights & darks. There is a pieced basket in the center with appliqued hearts & flowers in the basket & sprinkled over the quilt. Quilted by CJ
Cupcake Party Time
This is a fun little wall hanging 38" x 38" in bright turquoise & lime green prints. Some Kaffe Fassett, Fresh Cut others. The cupcakes are topped with yoyos, butterflies, a crown & buttons. The edges are scalloped. Quilted by me.
Dance of the Dragonflies
A fun & easy pieced & appliqued quilt with little heart dragonflies flitting all over with a different type of border. Most fabrics from my stash. Quilted by Debbie of Kool Kwilts.
Folk Art Wishes
A quilt in Folk Art/Americana shades. It has star applique blocks alternating with pieced blocks which make a chainlike effect going through the quilt. Quilted by Quilting Queens.
Gabriella's Garden
I chose bright large scale prints for this one with large blocks for quick assembly. I used Jane Sassaman's new Exotic Garden fabric line and some Fossil Ferns for a solid. She has newer lines of fabric out now that are just as "wild and fun". My quilt now appears on Jane Sassaman's website under Exotic Quilt Gallery! It was longarm machine quilted in an allover feather design by C. J. Behling of Behtek Quiltworks.
Garden Variety Bugs
This is a fun pattern. I used lots of brights with black vegetable and bug fabrics in this medallion style quilt. This was longarm machine quilted by C. J. also, in designs resembling the vegetables and bugs in the fabrics used.
Grandma Mary's Cottage Garden
Here is another soft vintage looking quilt. I used fabrics from Robyn Pandolph's Sentimental Journey collection. This quilt is similar to the old Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilts only without all those little hexagon pieces to sew together. The flowers are easy appliques. I named this quilt after my two "Grandma Marys". Quilted by C. J.
Heather's Lacy Heart
This is a sweet mid size quilt that 6699be used as a lap quilt or to hang on a wall. It has a soft romantic look. There is a heart in the center with a lacy looking edge to it, lighter background squares and a pieced floral border. Fabrics are a variety from my stash. A great Valentines Day project, gift for a loved one or just something to throw over yourself for an afternoon nap. Also quilted by C.J.
Indigo Sky
My blue and yellow star quilt is sort of a Trip Around the World style with 4 patches & stars added with a different border. Most fabrics are a variety from my stash. This is a very easy quilt to make. I hand quilted this one.
Les Chats de Paris
This is my little French cat pattern with a pincushion and a couple of pins to wear - a mouse and a heart. The cat is approximately 9" x 11", similar in size and construction to my Puppy Love & Scottie McNab dog patterns. I started with one cat and am on my way to a whole basket of them, they are so fun and easy to make! Personalize yours with your own choice of neckware -ribbons & charms, vintage keys, tags or whatever you like.
Miss Polly & Pepper
My little embroidered redwork doll and her pincushion pooch pal. She has a vintage 1920's/1930's look about her. The inspiration for this doll came from the vintage embroidered dolls that were stamped on muslin in the earlier days. Polly is about 11" tall. She could easily be made into a quilt block or a pillow top. Her pup is a little terrier with a mini embroidered doily on his back. She is really very easy to stitch, no fancy stitches here, just the basics - trust me, I'm not an embroidery whiz! Note: background quilt is not part of this pattern.
Muffin the Fat 1/4 Cat
Here is a 12" x 16" redwork boudoir size pillow pattern. The second in a series of redwork "Quilting" cats. This one has little prairie points around the center designs. I've also seen my little stitchery cats done on tea towels which is a cute idea and know of someone who plans to use several of the cat patterns to make a redwork quilt. There are lots of possibilities.
Muffin the Quilt Shop Cat
This one is a 16" x 16" square redwork pillow pattern. My first in a series of "quilting" cats. This is an easy to do stitchery center with a few pieced borders. This could be made into a wall hanging as well or just the center portion framed as a picture~~~ . NOTE: This is a 2002 pattern but I revised it in 2003 with an alternate phrase for the bottom (is my credit card max'd?) and alternate words if you don't want husband (wife, son, daughter, mother, boyfriend, girlfriend, partner).
Paper Doll Dresses
This was so much fun to make. The little china doll face photos are included in the pattern. This is photo transfer. This sweet paper doll has many outfits to choose from. Lots of Michael Miller fabrics in the Kid's Toile collection.
Passion For Postcards
This is a fun photo transfer quilt which measures 58 x 58. I used lots of peaches, dark reds & black. There are four applique blocks with photos & templates provided. There are also 4 photo blocks to use your own photos or vintage postcards. The center block is also an applique of a bird carrying a heart in his mouth.
Patchwork Puppy Love
Another stuffed 1930's Scottie Dog with a little quilted heart log cabin pincushion. He's about 11" high and 12" long. He’s been available as a kit through Keepsake Quilting in 2003-2004.
Pocket Pillows
Fun small Pillows & Sachets. Squares, rectangles & hearts. These were featured in the premier issue of Sew Somerset Oct 2007. This pattern includes more pillows & templates for the hearts. You can set the sachets in drawers or just set them out for display. The pillows can get set on the bed, hung on a door knob or wall. These also make wonderful gifts.
Positively Romantic
This sample was done in reproduction & toile fabrics in a vintage medallion style. This is a simple pattern with very few large pieces of fabric that I really didn't want to cut up. A great quilt top to make in a weekend. I also give directions for an alternate outer border. Quilted by C. J.
Rita's Rose Garden
A soft looking scrappy quilt all done in soft rose themed pastel florals. I named it after my mother and her love of roses. This is a good pattern for using up those fat 1/4's you've collected! I machine quilted this one.
Scottie McNab
I just couldn't help myself. I had to make "another" stuffed Scottie Dog pattern for 2004. This one is a different shape and has a bit less patchwork involved. I made him black like Fala, President Roosevelt's little Scottie with a 4 patch sweater. He's 9 1/2" tall and 12" long.
Stairway to the Stars
Here is a starry bright quilt all in brights with black & white fabrics. It was longarm quilted by the Quilting Queens in a loop and star design with varigated thread.
Star Blossoms
I've made this quilt in romantic pinks and green florals with the easiest stars you've ever made. This one was longarm quilted as a birthday present to me from the Quilting Queens in a stars and flowers motif. it turned out just lovely.
Sundancers
Two paper pieced pincushion designs in this pattern. I love to make pincushions - little mini stuffed quilts! I have several more done. I just haven't published them yet.
Sweetheart Stars
A vintage style quilt with easy blocks & star appliques. I used much of Moda's Wuthering Heights fabrics in this quilt.
Vintage Memories
This is a little memory wall hanging quilt. I chose a vintage fairy photo for my center printed on to transfer fabric but this would be great with a picture of your own loved one. You will need to supply your own photo. FUN IDEAS FOR ALTERNATE CENTERS: Instead of photo transfer in the center you could add a bit of embroidery, some pretty fabric, a lace doily, grandma's folded vintage hankie or pair of vintage gloves, a cameo, vintage broach or collection of them, favorite charms, a creative note, a real photo, baby booties/shoes with ribbon laces, a baby silver cup on ribbon, birth or wedding announcement. Or... you could just place the stuffed basket in the center & add one more square on the bottom. There are lots of ideas! (Alternate suggestions also included on pattern back)
Whisker Lick'n Cattitude
This pillow is 16" x 16" done in redwork. There is also a little pincushion included. |
